Football Cheer and Songleaders Lead a Good Year The Football Cheer and Songleaders have raised a lot of spirit and crowds at both the away and home games. Dr. Koolen said this year's Cheer and Songleaders have raised more spirit this year than any other year Wilbur has had, Every game they provided oranges at half-time for the players, and after the game they gave food and drinks. Not only did they raise spirit for the students and faculty but also for the team members. They stayed up late the night before the Terman game to encourage team spirit. The best pep rally of the year was during spirit Week, when the cheer and songleaders convinced some of the players to dress up as girls and lead cheers. Head cheerleader was Barbara Winchester and Head Songleader was Liz Greider. The other cheerleaders were Paula Taylor, Viki Saper, Debbie Moore and Paige Herzon. The other songleaders were Joyce Chang, Carolyn Mallory, Cathy Martin, and Jackie Bryan. Julie Parker was spirit girl and the mascot was Linda Morales. Right: Debbie Moore and Julie Parker running to congratulate the team.

Girls' Sports Starts Out With . . . This year's girls' sports had fantastic turn-outs. In many sports they by far outnumbered their rivals, Terman and J ordan, Their great turn-out did not prevent them from having a good season. Though the sports program for the girls was not as big as the boys, their enthusiasm equaled the boys. Q Hockey p Tennis
