three new clubs expand student The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a group of boys who are active in either football, basketball or track. At their monthly meetings, they have had guest speakers such as Bill Burnett, a former Arkansas Razorback, and Chuck Beil, who graduated from the Virginia Military Institute. They also attended banquets during the year to hear athletic celebrities speak. The United Nations Committee is a group of history students chosen by Mrs. Lorraine Smith and Mrs. Scotta Sheets, who also sponsor the group. This year they attended the Mock United Nations in Conway. They were given Turkey as a country to represent. After several weeks of re- search oli that country they were able to make de- cisions at the United Nations that the delegates of that country would have made. The Youth and Government Club is an or- ganization for high school students who would like to gain a richer understanding of the heritage and history oi our democratic way of life. They learned activities such as Model Legislative pro- grams and the practice of writing bills. Presently sixteen members are involved. ll 1 4 A i Richard Adcoclr, president of FCA, tries to check James Lavender. fca Front Row: Keith Kestner, vice-presiclentg Richard Adcock, president, Tommy Detherage, Sec.-Treas.g Mike Lakin, Chaplain Second Row: lohn Davie, Ellis lames, Mike Rabatin, Mike Vaughan, Kurt Mellinger, lim Hud- man, Robert Taylor, Bruce Woosley, Bobby Elliot, Bruce Sclilesier 'llzird Row: Bruce Davasher, Dale Brown, Kenny Sory, Terry Ramsey, Mike Adami, Bob Simpson, sul vi :nun pg Robbie Crimes, David Hill, Bobby Myers Fourth Row: Glen Bingham, Dennis Oxley, David Hudman, Jerome Williams, Rickey Lindsey, Mike Williams, Carl Bowling, Iames Lavender, Ronald Cross Fifth Row: Randy Moss, Ricky Thomas, Don Cobb, Creg Iackson, Fred Williams, Mike Crouse, Robert Minella, Donald Cross
