Because of the tre- mendous increase of students in this school we are con- stantly being challenged to stay abreast of all competition in our quest for knowledge. Recognizing this fact, the Administration has set as their goal to provide an excellent academic and extracurricular program so that each student may improve mentally, mor- ally and physically. It is a pleasure to work in your community and to strive to attain such a goal. GEORGE WARD Julius Caesar's doctrine to his army was: Qui non proficit, deficit fWho does not advance, falls behindj. There is no standing stillg we are either moving forward or we are falling behind. These words of caution certainly apply to our nation - the Soviet menace requires our constant vigi- lance. The words apply equally well to our school. We must move forward in the classrooms of learning, on the fields of athletic competition, and in the halls of literary competition. Most assuredly Caesar's caution applies to each of our pupils in this school. Educational standards are becoming more complex. Opportunities require more abilities from aspirants. The true measure of a school is its ability to assist its pupils in the advance forward. Let there be no hesitation, no backward glances, no doubts - we must advance to gain the prize. .TEANETTE BAUMANN MRS. EDITH BREHM Secretary Uffckxe Zycvzkew ELLEN COONS LYNNELL KN EUPPER MR. BAKER We are living in an age saturated with sweetness-and-light conformity. Dissension is frowned upon by the best people. If you want to get on in the world, let error pass unchallenged. To argue, we are told, violates the most important commandments for winning friends and positive living. It is high time that our people rise up and oppose this counsel of all take and no give. There isn't a job in the world that can't be done better than it's being done. A man isn't doing the best he can for himself, for the employer that hires him, or for his country if he rocks along without looking for that better way. True courage is not built upon mental cleverness, or earthly power but it stands upon the solid rock of truth and spiritual power. Every day we face decisions, at home and at school. We have good days and bad days and in many cases we rate these days as good or bad by the number of decisions we face. Decisions, or rather the problems requiring them, should be considered as opportunities to show our worth, not as problems to hinder us. know .QW Robert Anderson Randolph Blair Edward Brinkman Gloria Campbell Clifton Chestnut Carmen Delgado Anna Dorman Thomas Hannibal Paul Henthorn Loren Hill Clarence John Eugene Jones Otto Kollaus Valarie Loughman Melba Merryman Pamela Maxwell Thomas Monk John Norris Tam Newbold Linda Perryman Kenneth Reicherzer Tornmy Smith Johnny Smith Wayne Ulbrich Christine VanDalen John Wilmore Jack Anita Harris John Hensley Consuela Hernandez David Jones Ma Jan Jac Billy Denham Linda Dyer Cleo Freed Yolanda Gonzales Galloway ry Anderson is Borders Kathy Brown Paul Bodenhafer Diane Clayton k Chisenhall Calvin Koehler Mary Jo Kieke Janean Martin Rudy Alvarado Nancy Barcello Frances Beck Janice Burkes Hurbert Gonza Sandra Graham les Tony Greer Larry Harris Fred Hoffs Arlene Jones Erving Marbock Kenneth Moore Alvin Nirider Jeanette Oliver Danny Parkhurst Carole Patterson Hortense Perez Joan Redhage Terry Sassman Barbara Schneider Georgia Stevens Laura Ann Taylor Colleen Timmons Rosamond Vines William Wills Janetta Williams Mike Mophin Eddie Nugent Susan Omer Sharon Patten James Pearson Theresa Ramzy Michael Ritterman James Shreck Donna Stanley Douglas Stomackin Pat S Danny Taylor Walter Urena John Weaver Tim Yarborough Uallge Rachel Acuna Ester Aguilar Tanya Collins Refugio Franco Sophie Gomez Pat Garcia Mary Gomez Mary Gonzales Adolpho Franco Esperanza Hernandez George Luna Irma Martinez Betty McCall Hugh Miles Charles Murphy Pete Perez Mike Piotrowski Esperanza Ramirez Mike Ramirez Ramiro Ramirez Wilma Voight Betty Urena Mike Weldon 7,4 Roger Ramirez Kenneth Riedel Bobby Ross Mike Totten Peter Arreola Donna Barron Bobby Collett David Dennis Randy Dobson John Dunivan Susan Freeburgh Christine Gutierrez Donald Bettcher Judy Black Bronya Brenner Michael Brower Patricia Brown Dwight Hackworth Sharon Harnby Carl Hecox Paul Hill James Koch Charles Koym Susan Rieck William Smith Kathy Martin Harry Maxwell William McCandless Gloria Perez Larry Redhage Sandra Stamper Linda Williams Jill Anderson Jane Armstrong Lana Bruce Marilyn Bueche Bradley Carroll Gary Cathey Donna Dykes Melanie Edwards Mervin Eisenhauer Alfred Fey Barbara Hale Jennifer Koehler Kenny Lewis Richie Hall Eddie Haverlah Keith Kieke Karen Kollatschny Ronnie McBeth Becky Monk Barbara Ray Mary Schaefer Patricia Schreck Butch Slade Carlos Suarez Lynn Tuskin Cindy Wilmore Jeffery Yerion Beverly Anglin Eddie Briggs Kirby Bryant Judy Burkes Susan Busch I ack Coleman 72 Diane Crossen Bill Dawson Blas DeLeon Freddie DeLeon Robert DeLeon Robert Delgado Cheryl Eberanz Wanda Edge Jane Fish Crescincro Frias Bruce Hinds David Johle I udy Larsen Mary Lou Peart William Robins LaNay Threadgill Gary Whiteley Dolores Wiede Marvin Aelvoet Jerry Baumann Beatrice Carrasco Mary Carrasco Richard Castillo Diane Crossen Raymond Daibert Fernando Martinez Concepcion Ramirez OH Terry Standridge Jimmy Keller Delroy Knodel Fernando Martinez Dean Mclntuff Esequiel Medina Freddy Oster Debbie Pair Donald Rittirnann Betty Rodriguez Milton Schwanz Kay Beth Seiler Nikki Allison Donna Deyhle Blas DeLeon Christina Flores Fidel Flores Simon Franco Esther Gonzales Virginia Gonzales Andy Green Inocencio Guel David Harris Thomas Hoeser Frank Sernersky Glenn Stevens I oe Troncoso Bob Bartholomae Wayne Flowers Lillian Froboese Carlos Guel Lupe Guel Carol Hill Daniel Keller Cynthia Lowe Karol McCall Sandra McVeigh Michael Meek Ferdinand Niemietz Eddy Powell Jerry Standridge Mike Stephens Thomas Strickland Priscilla Taylor Francis Tolbert Connie Vickers Charlotte Wheeler 6 Marsha Anderson Gloria Arispe Molly Barron Karen Beck Russell Brehm Elizabeth Brown Marsha Crouse Guy wins William Yarbrough Anna Eaddy Pamela Edwards Terry Galloway Robert George Melody Gibson Bob Thompson Terry Williams Jean Wilmore Lana Kay Woolbrighr Bruce Wright Charlotte Conley Tommy Dagon Joy DeMuth Gerald Edwards John Elbel Susan Norton Lynn Ramsey Roberta Rusch Bill Schulz Susan Seavey Lawerence Ulbrich James Gordon Dawn Hall Billy Jones Mary Ellen Jones N anette McDonald Eileen Meckel 66 Adelaida Alvarado Henry Alvarado Josephine Arguello Arthur Arreola David Briggs Allan Brooks Robert Castillo Dick Emmons Isabel Gonzales Victor Gonzales James Hensley Roger Jarvis Peggy Jones 62 Linda Lenards Peggy Loring Esperanza Medina Janie Miller Larry Mills Linda Oldham Patricia Platz Mike Ridenour Francis Scheele Betsy Webb Arvil Anglin Daniel Bogues Douglas Carr David Carter Pete Chalker Dennis Ray Dykema Milton Edge Freddy Garcia Nasario Garza Steve Garza Rebecca Gomez Beatrice Gonzales Dolores Hernandez Ann Howton Veryl McKibbin Edgar Marx Lupe Saldana Tommy Simpson Teresa Troncoso Franklin Whitt Emma Wiedner If ff RANDY BLAIR SUSAN FREEBURGH Homeroom Finamrs n B651 Dt Pxaced W esied Coniesi w Q M R if 5 Q v f il. 1 1 5 53913 'jv in ff.,W,41, 1 19 ' .Q Y. ASKEW N The beginning and continued early years in our program of Education is so very important and vital to the progress and acceptance of the individual. A good begin- ning enables the individual to accept himself in his place in society, as well as ac- cepting others in their places. Thoroughness in early work assures a continued suc- cess throughout life. The challenge to our massive Educational Program of today lies within our abilities to direct our youth to think and do good things, to achieve, and to expect desired results. When we lead young people to become interested in solutions to their own problems, and to thinkg their program of Self Discipline does not become impossible. The crowning value of all our labor and effort is vested in the good we render to individual children. f,41 il Sincerely, GRADE I--FRONT ROW: Wes McCallister, Terry Schoolcraft, Linda Sill, Michael Keller, Maria Garcia.
