. O . we ' s - o' ll Ilirealtman Gllaaa iqiatnrg And it came to pass after many years of work called Preparatory, that we, the class of Nineteen-hundred and Thirty-Two, did gather in the College called Pennsylvania Military, which lies in the broad valley of the Delaware at a spot called Chester. Yea, and there were many strange and new men that did gather to make our number twenty and eight. Welliver from the far distant land of Ohio, Smiths, called James and George did journey from the beautiful lands of North Carolina and Crossett did come on a boat of oil from the oily city called Warren. Yea, and there were many more called Patton, Crewdson, Putt, the steel-man, Rossman, the quiet, Hernig, the room-mate of Germaine, Brodsky, the man from Ireland, Mathews, from where the salt water taffy grows, Linsk, the brother of Abraham, Pickering, who did come from the high altitudes of Boston, and on a harse , Mc Kaig, Del Valle and Hoffman from the land of smoke and coal. Yea, there were others who did swell out our numbers, men who had finished their work in preparation for College under the far seeing eye of Brautigam called Captain. Among these old men were Boettcher alias Ted , Montrezza called Bat , Smith from the land of strong drinks, Egerer named Edgemont, Weiss, famed for the way he carries a rifle, Moore, the tall one, Nichols called Ocho Redman, the smooth one, Layer, the mighty one, Meit- ner, son of Max, and Neissen from the hills of Rydal. Then gathering together in the hall of assembly, we did elect to oliice of President one called Layer, son of Frank, and to the Vice-Presidency, Al- bert Montrezza. The oftice of secretary did fall upon the head of Ocho or our beloved Nichols. Yea, and the man called Meitner was the man chosen to torment us for shekles. And from the class of Thirty-Two many were contributed to teams of sport. Nichols, is Captain of Polo, and Montrezza, Smith called Jack, Red- mond, Pickering, and Boettcher have given up many pleasures and gained otherwise by playing on the teams of Polo. Then there was the great game of Football to which we did oifer Layer, Captain-elect, Redman and Putt. Basket- ball also claimed some of us in the form of Layer, Matthews, the Smith Brothers also the king of Siam, Brother Crosset. Then in the game of punch and duck was our shekle grabber, Meitner, who always failed to duck. Again the name of Layer appears. This time he did lead the men called leather- pushers in their first boxing season. In the spring we do expect many of our class to represent us on the field called diamond . As we pass on to the class called Sophomore, We do hope and pray that all the class known as Thirty-Two will continue to uphold all the traditions and to add new glory to the name of our beloved College.
