From France Came Bruno With AFS THE AFS CLUB promotes understanding among the nations of the world. American Field Service provides a link between the youth of different countries. Each year the club centers many of its activities around the exchange students visiting Wi Hi. This year, Bruno de la Guerrande from Nantes, France, was the visiting exchange student. Two from Wi Hi had the opportunity to study abroad. Florence Weatherly spent two months in Germany, and Ste ve Bers went to South Africa during the school year. A. AFS OFFICERS B. THE KEY KADETTS lived up to their motto: ”WE SERVE. Service began when the Key Kadetts sang Christmas carols at all the nursing homes in the Salisbury area. The girls decorated a booth at Deer ' s Head Hospital for a carnival there. They decorated the Mall Christmas tree, rang the Salvation Army bell, sold anatoons for the benefit of the Leukemia Society, and made money for the classes by shining shoes at the Mall.
