STUDENT GOVERNMENT is geared to Dace the changes in high school activities. Student leadership cannot be antiquated unless it is meant to be ineffective. Student Government is one branch of politics in which the individual ' s vote is still very important. Elections are often decided by ten or less votes. Due to the short term of office for representatives, they must prove their individual qualifications, abilities, and sincerity. Students depend upon student government representatives to present their views, complaints, and solutions to faculty and administration. Representatives must be capable.

In Memory Of RICKY YOUNG ... a member of the class of 1970 and respected by all. Although Ricky was not able to complete his senior year at Wi Hi, he will remain in the hearts of his friends. GENE TINGLE ... class of 1970. Although not present during his senior year, the memory of Gene was present throughout and will re¬ main in the hearts and minds of his fellow classmates for many years to come. 16

Senior Representatives Work Never To Compare C • The Student Government Association of Wicomico Senior High School was involved in the Lower Shore Association of Student Councils (LSASC) and also in the Maryland Association of Studeijt Councils (MASC). Tim Knapp was Par¬ liamentarian for Lower Shore, Gayle Jackson was Activity Chairman, and Gail Littleton was Wicomico Member-at-Large. A.
