The 1969-1970 Student Recognition Assembly was held on May 19, 1970. Robert Culver, first vice president of the Student Government, led the pledge to the flag and the singing of the Star Spangled Banner. Awards were presented for various activities including home economics, practical nursing, the Maryland Junior Science and Humanities Sympo¬ sium, participants in Seminars, choir members, Thespian Award, Key Kadettes, John Philip Sousa Band Award, community awards, scholarship announcements, and school service awards. The 1969-1970 Sports Assembly was held on May 25, 1970. All athletes and coaches were present for the letters and awards. Awards were given in soccer, hockey, cross country, gymnastics, basketball, wrestling, track, football, tennfs, baseball, and softball. Carlton Mack was named the Athlete of the Year. Mr. Thomas Craig, the athletic director, spoke for the progress of all sports. Sharon Miller receives Homecoming Banner Award. Mary Kay Mancuso receives the Key Kadettes Award.

In Memory Of RICKY YOUNG ... a member of the class of 1970 and respected by all. Although Ricky was not able to complete his senior year at Wi Hi, he will remain in the hearts of his friends.
