Signea The Class of 49 Gazing down into my crystal ball Fate has fallen upon us all And this history has come to pass Of the nineteen hundred and 49 class. CHARLOTTE FARLOW has tried all resources She has now taught her children to ride horses. LACEY AUSTIN is quite a card Since he joined the U. S. Coast Guard. Down the road lives JEANNE PRYOR Still trying to fix her father ' s flat tire. WILLARD WALLACE, as you can see Isn ' t as fast as a telegraph key. Because she stuffed herself with Bond Bread VIRGINIA CHRISTIAN has a pain in her head. BILL SENKBEIL still hasn ' t said a word But a new land he discovered, we heard. MERRILL HARRINGTON is still going fast For two State Troopers he has just passed. Eighteen

We, the members of the Senior Class, which is the class of nineteen hundred and forty- nine of Wicomico High School in Salisbury, that is in Wicomico County, in the State of Maryland, in the country of the United States, on the continent of North America, on the planet named Earth, being in as sound a mind and body as possibly can be expected after years of hard work, have reached the end. We make, publish, and declare this our last will and testament, hereby revoking and annulling any and all wills made heretofore: A To our Alma Mater, we leave behind us many happy and joyful memories. B To our class advisor Mr. Morris Jones, we leave our sincere thanks for all the work he helped us accomplish. C To Mr. William Jones, we, the first class to graduate under his guidance, leave, hoping to have left an inspiration to carry on in Wi-Hi for many years to come. D And we of the Senior Class leave the following bequeaths: 1. Phil Slacum leaves the school at 8:30. 2. Bill Ruark leaves his height to Cecil Lewis. 3. Betty Calcott leaves Alan Guerrerri wondering who is going to do his homework. 4. Dot Richardson leaves on her honeymoon, Emory bringing up the rear. 5. We leave Thorel Henderson to anyone who wants him. 6. Jimmy Bounds leaves his fourth last quail and his fifth. 7. Richard Dana leaves Patsy Morgan. 8. Richard Humler leaves as a Bride-To-Be. 9. Charlotte Farlow leaves her love for horses to Pat Cavanaugh. 10. Rodney Johnson leaves his station to anyone who wants to get gassed up. 11. Shirley Culver leaves her musical ability to Mr. Howard. 12. Ryder Jones leaves with any girl he can keep up with. 13. Dick Davis leaves his build to Charles Atlas. 14. Nancy Collins leaves her fast talking ability to Allan Carey. 15. Norma Elliott leaves her smoothness to Lynne Robins. 16. Merrill Harrington leaves his speed to the V-2 Rocket. 17. Jimmy Wilson leaves his two straightjackets to Tom Parker and Dick Moore. 18. Bill Senkbeil leaves his energy to Betty Flannery. 19. Paul Sheldon leaves his keyboard fingers to Betty Neimann. 20. Dot Chatham leaves her freckles to Hugh Shores. 21. Lloyd Harrington leaves Miss Farlow with a headache. 22. Edwin Younger leaves his finger to the shop. 23. DOT RICHARDSON has changed her life For now she is Emory Leonard ' s wife. LEE DAVIS has no worries anymore For at least he has his own store. BETTY CALCOTT called another boy ”Hon Now Alan is really on the run. BILL KNICELEY is now building a barn Because he and Anne are living on a farm. LOIS WILLIAMS, you can now hear or see For she is in the telephone office, busy as a bee. If you see a glare of blond in the air Don ' t be alarmed, it ' s BOB BEDSWORTH ' S hair. BETTY IANE WHITE used to play tennis But now she ' s changed her name to Ennis. JIMMY WILSON has won great fame And now he has a remembered name. RICHARD HUMLER said he’d fly all over But he just can ' t seem to get past Dover. JOE GODFREY has now reached his fame For now baseball holds his name. LESTER HATTON went out West He chose the one that was the best. MAURICE BRITTINGHAM has a sore arm From digging potatoes on his farm. NORMA ELLIOTT is now in Beacom ' s College Trying to gain some needed knowledge. BILLY RILEY, the girls all call Because now he is 6 ft. tall. SHIRLEY CULVER has gone far Because she ' s now a singing star. JIMMY BOUNDS is never late He just found a steady date. Some sympathy JIMMY STEWART ' S needing A cop just caught him for speeding. GEORGE MALLEY now likes this town Because Becky said she ' d settle down. DOT CHATHAM ' S really on the beam She ' s now raising a basketball team. ALVIN BOZMAN is well fed But did you ever see him when his face wasn ' t red? LEONARD CULVER is now well known ' Cause now he is manufacturing combs. NANCY RICHARDSON found a four leaf clover Now she ' s known the world over. More of Anne, RODNEY JOHNSON wanted to see So now he ' s in training a doctor to be. Nineteen
