Students Take Pleasure The long-awaited, ever present weekend is anticipated by almost everyone. The joys of being able to stay out late on Friday nights and sleep in on Saturdays is pleasing to students after a hard week of school. Students enjoy doing var- ious activities such as going to the movies, cruising Kemp and going out on dates. Also for those stu- dents over 18, there are local coun- try and western clubs where west- ern dancing has become the latest craze. No matter how the students spend their weekend they all agree, it is definitely too short. QI 3 F M as 22 al!

The year of the Coyote finally came. Spirits were high as we went into our eighth season without a victory. Preparations for the game included hall decorations, a Raider Roast at Coyote Canyon, and gym decorations for which there was a large turnout. The victory break- fast was held at different homes for each class. Following the breakfast, stu- dents caravanned behind the band to school. Throughout the day, the halls echoed with jingles from mums and whistles encouraging BEAT RIDER. The pep rally had a large turnout of students and parents which filled the gym. The pep rally was highlighted by the annual pie in the face contest is sponsored by FTA and this year there was a tie. The winners for los- ersj were Coach Rodney Bagley and Coach Danny Palmer. The cli- max of the week was the crosstown rivalry game. Even though the weather was miserable, the fans were still there to back 'the pack. The players did not let them down with a 20-6 vic- tory. g ? i 24 CoyotefRider Week Activities lead T is 1 .E V . 4 f E. 3 4
