Two bits, four bits, six bits a dollar, all for the Coyotes stand up and holler! What pep rally would be complete without this cheer? This year the pep rallies took on a different look. The band was moved up into the stands and the students were shifted to different sections. This change gave the cheerleaders, twirlers, Lone Stars, and skits more room to perform. Preparation for the pep rallies be- gins early in the week. The cheerleaders and members of Victory club, and Pride of '81 make posters and decorate the gym the day before. Then the final product is a well rounded pep rally. - v .bro 2' Al!! ilk 1. Cheerleaders yell with the seniors. 2. SE- NIOR POWERY 3. Freshmen back the pack. 4. Johnn Lee Highlights Assembly Ends . on Good ote Howdy Week is a full week of western atmosphere held in Octo- ber. The students and teachers donned their western wear the entire week. The Howdy finalists, chosen a few weeks before, worked hard sharpening their square dancing skills. Meanwhile other students perfected various acts for the Howdy assembly. This year surprise guest singer, Johnny Lee, performed his hit song, Lookin' for Love. The newly crowned Mr. and Miss Howdy were Henry Ozuna and Cathye Bogan. The finale was the Howdy dance. 1.
