An excellent way to achieve this goal is to study the literary works of both ancient and contemporary writers in order to view their expressions of life. Similarly, one develops mental acumen by learning to express himself and his ideas clearly and concisely. By means of a well-rounded four-year program of literature and grammar, the Department of English of Wichita Falls High School seeks to instill and develop these abilities in its students. The Department of English is also responsible for noting and preserving all achievements and changes in Coyote land through its three news media: The Coyote, The Coyote News, and Teen Times.
