OUR THEME Since our school song, c6Hail to Our Colors,', is indicative of our school life, we, the 1960 Coyote Staff, have chosen this song as our theme. The opening line, Hail to our colors,'7 not only relates to the red and black of our bannerg but it also signifies the pride each member of Wichita Falls Senior High feels each time his school is mentioned. We have made the second line of our song, c'Hail to our school, an introduction to the administration section because of the faculty's devotion to WFSH. Had it not been for their interest and guidance, our school would not have as high standing as it has today. Both of these lines, uWe'll back you forever, That is our rule, together, have been used before the class section because we feel that the classes, as a whole, work together to back our school in whatever activity it may attempt. If it were not for this cooperation in our school, it could not have obtained the prominence that We now prize. The line, Onward to victory,', almost speaks for itself. This year WFSH has been recognized in almost every activity and scholastic event. We have had such successes because it is the spirit of each individual in our school to do his best. We have introduced the honors section with the line, Onward to fame, be- cause through the efforts of the faculty and students our school and its individual members are rapidly approaching that goal-fame and success. We chose the line, ln winning or losing, to represent our sports division because that phrase portrays the sportsmanship of our competition. No matter what sport we participate in or what the outcome of the game is, our athletes and our students as a whole handle themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. This line of the song, '4We,ll honor your name, not only is the closing line of the song but also closes our book with the autograph section. We, the Coyote Staff, sincerely hope that all enjoy the 1960 Coyote and relive many experiences through its pages.
