time from his successful business to lead the group in important decisions. Serving as vice president is Mr. Charles N. Prothro, a prominent business man in the community. Mr. John Wolf, equally busy, aids in all Work and acts as secretary. Mrs. Larry J. Doing has manifested her interest in the youth of the city by taking an active part in promoting school-community relations through her position with the newspaper. Aside from his regular work as a board member, Dr. William L. Powers has been instrumental in the improvement ot the tennis program ot the entire city. Completing the board are Mr. Rutus King, oil operator, who acts as chairman ot the Build- ing and Grounds Committee and Mr. Clyde Fillmore, distinguished attorney, chairman ot the committee on insurance, both ot whom have contributed their skills in the solving ot many school problems. Since it is impossible tor each student to thank them, the Coyote Statt is pleased to express tor all students sincere appreciation ot the unselfish devotion ot this group to the direction of the Wichita Falls Schools.

A primary funcfion of The board is To direcf The expendifures of all funds for mainfenance, expansion, paymenf of salaries and oTher expenses. An example of careful planning is evidenced by The lunch program which insures every sTudenT a hoT lunch daily. Juniors, having compleTed Two years in VVFSH, view The communiTy as a sTage seT for Their coming TriumphanT year. Sophomores see This localiiy as a world wiThin iTself filled wiTh new experiences. Therefore, iT is obvious ThaT our environmenT plays an imporTanT parT in molding The characTer and personaliTy of sTudenTs. Members of The faculTy, lending Their supporT and experience, have be- come a valuable parT of The communiTy. Their observaTions and admonifions help shape many young minds.
