ROYALTY CROWNED AT 967 WCHS HOMECOMING Miss Ann Weinmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weinmann, and Sandy Faulkner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Faulkner, Were chosen king and queen of the 1967 Wichita County High School Football Homecoming. King Sandy crowned Queen Ann and presented her With a bouquet of American beauty roses at the half-time festivities of the Leoti-Dighton Homecoming game. The theme of the 1967 Homecoming-- And Roses and Roses --Was carried out With colorful decorations of American beauty rose, pink, and silver. Following the 13-7 victory of Leoti over Digh- ton, Queen Ann and King Sandy reigned over a dance at the Leoti Community Building. Don't fall off, Arm. Royalty coaxes children to hand over crown. BASKETBALL HOMECOMING A Girl s Dream Fulhlled To Impossible Dream A large crowd watched the crowning of the 1968 Basketball Homecoming Queen as the band played The Impossible Dream , the theme song for the 1968 Basketball Homecoming. The queen and her court walked down the aisle lined with the basketball team and cheerleaders. Leading the procession were the freshmen attendants Becky Sheets and William Algiene. Following them were sophomores, Carol Graff and jeff Parker, and juniors, Terry Smith and Gary Wil- bur. At the end of the procession were the King and Queen candidates, Peggy Siemens escorted by Charles Mills and Judy Grusing escorted by Brad Blackburn. The evening was climaxed by the crowning of Peggy Siemens as Queen and Brad Blackburn as King. Queen Peggy reigned during the game between Hugoton and Leoti.
