T FFA Competitive Spirit Brings Reward Future Farmer of America members of the Leoti Chapter, under the direc- tion of Mr. Roger Hamilton, were very competitive this year. In mid-September, FFA members won a first place in the Western Divi- sion at the State Fair with their county booth. i In December FFA members pre- sented a Father-Son Chili Supper. Another worthwhile project was the 01d and New officers stand at their stations. Kansas Co-op Council test. FFA mem- bers received a check for S50 and won first place in the Western District. The high point of FFA competi- tion came at the State FFA Conven- tion at Manhattan, April 28. Leo1:i's FFA parliamentary procedure team re- presented the South-West District and took first place in competition. Both Kent Hamilton and Tim Jaeger were named to State Farmer Degrees. In addition, Kent Hamilton took second in speech competition and was elected State FFA Secretary for 1968-69. This happy group attended FFA Camp. 67

GOOD CITIZENS AND STATERS Students Are Honored For Good Behavior To honor students who are outstanding in t.he area good citizenship, the faculty members choose two Good Citizens each six weeks--an underclassman and an upper- classman. Students are chosen on the basis of the following points: 1. Respect for school property 2. Respect for teachers 3. Respect for fellow students 4. Active participation in school projects and activities 5. A general attitude of ood school s ir- 8 P it and pride in school Students chosen to Girls and Boys State must also fulfill the qualities required of Good Citizens.
