Without our efficient office force or board of education our high school days would become complete chaos. On the other hand without an understanding and inspiring faculty to listen to his many gripes and grievances, the student would be entirely lost and alone. Without anyone of these administrators, whether it be secretary, principal, a member of the board, or teacher, the mechanics of running the high school would be seriously impaired. 5

YEARBOOK KING A N D QUEEN REIGN OVER 65 WARRIOR :: 4 ROYALTY CHOSEN BY GOVERNOR The Governor of Kansas again honor- ed WCCHS and the WARRIOR this year by choosing our annual yearbook king and queen. His choices this year were Cheryl Doyle and Dan Gardner. The Governor selects the king and queen by photograph and judges only on personal appearance. The honor of yearbook king and queen is bestowed only on seniors, and those who have been basketball, football, or other royalty are ineligible . There is no personal award or bene- fit derived from this honor, save the privilege of reigning over the WARRIOR for a year. Queen Cheryl will further her educa- tion at Fort Hays State next year in hopes of becoming a future nurse, While King Dan tentatively plans either to attend the Kansas Vo-Tech School at Goodland or join the Navy.
