Abstract Thinking Meets The Challenge Of Todcay's World The mathematics program is so designed that it will prove advantageous to students planning to enter all Walks of life. The courses range from general mathematics, Where the student learns to solve the problems arising in business and agriculture, to advanced algebra designed to prepare students for the technical professions. Mr. Townsend reviews algebra with geometry students. ra? M. Mr. Dutton has problems with his senior math boys.

Art students Work to finish their metal projects before Art Show. The Beautiful Must Be Sampled For Appreciation The development of the aesthetic values of the individual are the primary concern of the fine arts department at Wichita County Community High School. The music department, under the direction of Mr. Wilken and Mr. Gale, strive to develop Within the student an appreciation of good music. The art department, under the direction of Miss Bodenhamer, seeks to create an interest in painting and the crafts. Along with the basic academic de- partment, the fine arts department aims to create the Well rounded individual. Metal Work done by art students. Dept. Instructorsg Mr. Wilken, Miss Bodenhamer, and Mr. Gale. FINE ARTS The Chorves perform at one of their many engage- ments.

Mr. Holmes discusses general science with his students. Microcosm And Macrocosm Interests Students The natural science program includes general science, biology, physics and chemistry. The principles upon which all physical and mechanical processes of the universe are based come under careful scrutiny in the science lab and classroom. An appreciation of the processes of the universe are stimulated in the inquiring mind. Dept. Instructors: Mrs. Hamilton, Mr. Holmes, and Mr. Williams SCIENCE T. Turner and D. 'Wilson try to conquer science in a chemistry experiment. S. Fetty demonstrates the procedure of dissecting a rat in biology.
