Not the corners ot the earth but the corners of the universe are being explored to celestial heights and ocean depths, The man largely responsible for this, Albert Einstein, died before he saw the Full fruits of his genius. These achievements have also been reflected in our school. The scholarship in W.C.C.H.S. has reached an all time high. Not to be overlooked, is the high attainment reached also in Fields such as athletics and Fine arts. They met once a month to iron out problems which arose in the huge ,F rocket, W.C. C. H.S. Several members visited ,school ancl observed the smoothly running organization. Mrs. Krenzel continues to feel a keen in terest in the school. A graduate of W. C. C. H.S., she has been a member of the board of education for 30 years. They launched the football and basket- ball crowning and dances, a Dress-Up and Sloppy Joe day, and soc hops. A project which proved successful was - a game room For those who clon't dance. Arriving in Jefferson City, Missouri, Saturday morning at l0:00, they toured the state capitol- building. In the afternoon a bus took them to Kirkwood Lodge. The time at Kirkwood was spent in boating, swimming, dancing, and making new acquaintances. Their return trip started at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, April 20. They arrived at Kansas City, Missouri at 2:20 P,M, There they toured the Nelson Art Gallery. Leaving Kansas City at 9:00 P.M., they arrived in Leoti early Thursday morning, where some thirty cars were awaiting their arrival. All during the year the seniors were busy with money raising schemes in order to ride first class to Kirkwood Lodge. Among their proiects were: car washes, food sales, and serving banquets. The 67-piece band trip to Boulder, Colorado, was the rocket fuel necessary to get Director Orville Huddleston's crew into orbit. The band received a hard-earned ll rating at district contest. The satellite twirlers were: Sherrci Lambert, Patty Templer, and Kay Royer. Maiorette Sonia Hooker, led the band during marching season. A pep band helped to put enthusiasm way up there for football and basketball games.
