l DEBATE TEAM SUCCESSFUL. Faced with much inexperience. the De- bate Club began the year with much en- thusiasm. Sponsored by the stalwart Mr. Hildebrandt. the group eagerly awaited their first debate at Derby on the question ofjudicial reforms. The hard work proved worthwhile as the team was quite pleased with their ratings. Ellen, Janet, and Amy participate in chapel program. NEWSPAPER CARRIED THROUGH. The student newspaper the Collegiate Billboard , although suffering from lack of participation, was carried through until the end ofthe year with a total of I7 issues being published. Under the editorship ofTracy See- ley with the assistance of Tara Seeley, the staff fluctuated from issue to issue, with out- standing contributors being recognized in the final issue ofthe Billboard . BILLBOARD STAFF: Tracy Seeley, Tara Seeley. DEBATE CLUB: Henry Hildebrandt, Ellen Carey, Tara Seeley, Eileen Mr. Hildebrandt. Chuck Spradlin. lan Johnson. Davis PRAYER GROUP ACTIVE. This year Collegiate added a new dimension to its extra- curricular activities in the Thursday morning Bible Study and Prayer Group. Led by Miss Sunday Le Boeuf. the group started meeting in the fall with approximately six people attending regularly. As school ended, there were 25- 30 people attending, with the group involved in such activities as organizing a chapel program and sponsoring an end-of-school party on the Arkansas River, fifteen

Lively and imaginative pep rallies asked the provocative question Are you one? and demonstrated to the student body that neither Lisa Velie as the Thayer Flier nor rain nor sleet Norwich could overcome the Spartans . The Varsity Cheerleaders, Tanya Norris, Kathy Rog- ers, Chris Bastian, Lisa Velie, and Kristi Harter were present not only at home games but also at away games, traveling with the team to provide the welcome and nec- essary support away from home. Grace Kruger, Sandra Binyon, Linda Bohne, Nancy Cox, and Keri Christopher were the hard working Junior Varsity Cheerleaders who spiritedly supported their vic- torious teams. ticipation and team support.
