Peden. L 'A telier de Spokane It is no longer an extra-curricular option for llhitworth students to be involved in the life of the local community. Vvhitworth is not a prepara tion for life: it is life. with adult responsibi lities cmd opportunities. This means that our students must be visibly and deeply involved in the life of the Spokane community! and not as observers but as participants. e are seeking many new positions and circumstances for our stu- dents to feel the real burdens, pressures and re- wards of business and industry, social work and other vocational life as an integral part of their liberal education at Mnitworth.
