Whittier Union High School District The Board of Trustees, composed of lay people, represent the community in determining the school pol icy. Suggestions from the community get to the school through the Board, and it is their responsibility to work out efficient plans which the school Administrators can carry out. Planning the yearly program, Back-to-School-Night, and putting on the Christmas program, are only a few of the important functions of the P.T.A. Board. Mr. C. H. Wennerberg, Superintendent and Secretary to the Board of Trustees The past year has been one of great change and accomplishment in the Whit- tier Union High School District. Many important decisions were made and the fourth high school started, construction to be completed by September of 1955. High praise and recognition has come to the district from all over the country, and many of the practices in each of the schools and the district administration have been studied and used by other districts. Highest of all have been the splendid achievements of the graduates of El Rancho and Whittier as verified by many scholarships and awards given to them. On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the District, and the entire administrative staff, I congratulate all of the 1955 graduates. We believe that you, too, will continue to distinguish yourselves in school and community. C. H.
