comE THE niEn ahd Frank Mortensen, Student Body President. •■•■ .,1 t Danny Osborne, Sfudenf Body Vice-Presidenf. Every spring most young men ' s fancy turns to love. But there are some exceptions. Take Frank Mortensen, stu- dent body president, for instance. Last spring about this time Frank found himself the new leader of the Whittier High student body, and began to look ahead. In order that the school year of 1950 run smoothly, plans were made in advance, with the suggestions and help of the other new officers, Danny Osborne, vPce-president, Eina Anderson, secretary, and Gretchen Haas, publicity manager. This team has worked hard to moke 1950 an enjoyable, unforgettable year in the lives of 2,600 Whittier students. They have tried to make the school activities more and better, to present novel and educa- tional assemblies, and most important of all, to insure a democratic school government. Associated Student Body officers are indeed to be envied for their prestige and popularity. But countless hours of planning, organizing, reorganizing, and worry accompany the title of student body officer. Eino Anderson, Student Body Secretary.
