Whittier High School Service Flag. OUR SERVICE FLAG BLUE STARS — for students who were with us on Decem- ber 7, 1941, and who are now in the service. GOLD STARS — for lives given in service. The gold stars on our service flag remind us each day of the supreme sacrifice which has been made by some of the alumni and former students of our school. We are proud of their achievement and we are grateful for the honor which they have brought to Whittier High School.
