ssociatecf Students Supporfed by an enfhusiasfic spirif of cooperafion, fhe Sfudenf Body of Whiffier Union High School has complefed lhe year of I936-37 wifh a record of which if may well be proud. The achievemenfs of fhis organizafion. fhe largesf in fhe hisfory of fhe school, have been many and varied. On fhe gridiron, fhe Varsify and B feams enjoyed successful seasons. while fhe C feam won ifs lhird consecutive league championship. The Varsify baslcefball fearn covered ifself wifh glory by winning 'lhe league championship and 'rhen advancing fo 'the finals of ihe Soufhern California C. l. F. championship play-off. The spring sporfs, which are sfill in progress, have promise of very successful seasons. The social evenfs of fhe year have been ouf- sfanding. Many popular dances have been sponsored by organizafions of fhe school. The Sfags, fhe Pep Commiffee. fhe Varsify Club. ancl lhe P. T. A. have been successful in The sponsoring of fhese dances. The Girls' League gave a mosf popu- lar and successful semi-formal dance and parfy. An enrhusiasfic Junior class spon- sored a very popular Prom in fhe form of a dinner dance which was held al' fha Pacihc Coasf Club in Long Beach. Many innovafions in fhe adminisfrafion of 'fha Sfudenf Body and ifs classes have been infroduced fhis year. All classes have formed councils and fhe consrifufion of fha whole school has been revised by a consfifufional commiH'ee. Only Through fha close cooperafion of fhe sfudenfs. fhe faculfy. and fhe adminisfrafion could fha Sfudenl Body have enioyed such a happy and successful year. if
