Time is the measure of life. It passes evenly---minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year. Time is precious because the minutes and years that pass can never return. We travel this road but once, and we must go on with time, no matter what we put into it,or what we idle away. It is ours for our span of life, ours to waste or to improve--to leave behind a scar, or a light to brighten the lives of others. Now, with youth on your side,deve1op the ability to do the thing you have to do when it ought to be done, whether you like it or notg this is the first lesson to be learned. Francis Mullins SUPERVISING PRINCIPAL CD'F'Fice In looking back on these years, we will remember the Class of 1966 was the last one to graduate from the main school. Memories of crowded halls, study halls in the cafeteria and auditorium, double assembly programs because of too many students, hundreds trying to eat lunch through the din of noise in the cafeteria, and overflowing crowds at basketball games, will remind us of certain phases of student life. But what of the future? A new high school build- ing will bring about greater freedom and more op- portunites for a fuller school experience for both junior and senior high students. New shops, lab- oratories, library and other facilities will help to insure an improved program for the upper class- men. The junior high school will Hstretch its armsn and breathe a sigh of relief as it plans for additional courses and activities. Just as the opportunities for succeeding classes will be heightened, so will you,the Class of 1966, have new hopes and aspirations as you plan the next step of your life. My best wishes for a most happy and successful adventure go with you. John V. Rugg HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL The Class of 1937 had the distinct honor of being the first class to graduate from the new Whitney Point Central School building which had a total enrollment of 1011 pupils in grades K-12. There were 38 members of the class of 1937 and at that time, strangely enough, there were 38 members of the teaching staff for grades K-12. At the present time ll of those teachers are still working here. The Class of 1966 will have the pleasure of being the last class to graduate from the building that was so great in 1937. The Class of 1967 will be graduated from our new senior high school. The teaching staff now numbers 96 and we have an en- rollment of 1960 pupils. The old senior high school holds many memories for both pupils and teachers but all of us are looking forward to the use of the fine new facilities thus provided so that our student body may have the latest and best in educational equipment and buil- dings.
