WPCS EVENTS IN 1960-61 September was heralded with the arrival of school and the first social event of the year which was a Senior Dance, cal- led HKickoff Swing.H Also in the month of September the very successful magazine sale was started, ending in October with Ken Walling the highest salesman and Elaine Harper 2nd highest. Lar- OCTOBER-NOVEMBER-DECEMBER Juniors conducted the annual stationary sale in October. Other activities included two Halloween Parades, four foot- ball games, and a Student Council dance, Hshades O' Fall benefit of the Greek Foster Child. UFall Frolic,H the Juniors' first dance was presented in November. Football players attended the Father and Son Banquet held at Elliot Hall,Lisle, New York on Nov. l7. Seniors had their 2nd dance of the year, HGob- ler's Hop.H December 3, FFA members had a dance. During the month Tag Day was held, also Christmas Vacation. The Senior Class sponsored a dance, Winter Mist during the holidays. 26 FRESHMEN CLASS OFFICERS Left to Right: Marna Leahy, Vice pres- ident, Don Croft, President, Lorin Lark- in, Secretary Treasury. JANUARY AND FEBRUARY All students were active in January. Juniors had a record hop. The Senior Play, a three act comedy entitled NBrother Goose,H was presented the 3rd week. Cramming for exams was a common occurrence. February saw the Senior dance, uCupid's Caper,H rehearsals for the Junior play and the Junior High Winter Concert. EIGHTH GRADE CLASS OFFICERS Left to Right: Wayne Watrous, President, Betty Jean Brainard, V. P. and Glenn Tyme- son, Sec.-Treas. MARCH-APRIL-MAY-JUNE Highlights of March were the Jr. Play and the final Senior Dance. Juniors held a record hop in April. Easter vacation was enjoyed by all. Student Council Dance, Junior Prom, and Graduation completed May and June. SEVENTH GRADE OFFICERS Left to Right: W. James, S. C. Rep., Terry Farr, Sec. Treas, F. Leahy, Pres., M.
