N O 0 U 0 if ice: I wonder if ot er schools have as thoughtful and considerate a principal as Mr. Adams. erry: don t know. Ever since he came here in l945 everybody connected with the school has liked him. Alice: The Class of 52 has felt particularly fortunate ' having their principal support all their plans and ideas with such enthusiasm. Jerry: At this time, let's all say a sincere thanks, to you, Mr. Adams. To the Class of 52 My sincere congratulations to each of you for having completed your high school education and earned for yourself that document which signifies achievement and success A High School Diploma Do not feel that your education is now complete but remember that education is learning and learning should take place constantly forever Your yearbook is excellent and built around a theme of Heminiscing Sometimes it is pleasant to look back on the record sometimes it is not As l think back over the years before l came here I recall three students Peter was a boy who skipped school a great deal e lelt that education was a bore and a waste ol time e finally ran away and the last I heard of him he was 1 Jail on a charge of vagrancy Hobert was good looking intelligent but lazy e made his graduation but since then he has never used his intelligence or his education to any advantage He feels that the world owes him a living but that he should not have to work for it John was an average student but conscientious indus trious honest and sincere He never got to college, yet he is a fine father successful in his business a credit to his community and worthwhile citizen for his nation What will your record be7 With best wishes 6 70: 7716 'am MRS WINIFRED GLEZEN MCNAMARA From 1935 to 1951 Mrs McNamara was a member of the faculty at Whitney Point Central School Besides teaching senlor high mathematics Mrs McNamara over the years did various other duties such as class adviser home visiting teacher and census taker Her many friends were saddened by her death at her home July 22 1951 following a long illness 74600 Mr Cimer BrO?kS Mrs Iva Colgan Mr Hlram GOOdF1Ch Vlce rlnclpa Pf1HC1Pa1 5 Secretary School Superlntendent School Treasurer gnome! af Zdlvccdfcm How 1: M Franklin Pendell Mr. Clarence Walter President Mr. Leslie Strongz Row 2: Mr Charles Pratt Mr. Kenneth Stearns Mr. Carl Bird Clerk. I will never forget the fun I had at those Student Council dances held after the home basketball games. Alice: Speaking of basketball games how about the Donkey Basketball Game the Student Council sponsored to raise money for the Heart Fund? Jerry: That was hilarious. Now to get on the serious side of things, what did you think of the idea of having a Stu- dent Handbook? Alice: I liked it very much and I also liked the idea a- bout having trophies for the intra-mural sports. Not only for boys but for girls, too. Jerry: The thing I liked best was when the Council enter- tained exchange students from other councils in the league. i Zalesne!
