Organizations Set High Standards Beta Club - Members must have and maintain an A in citizenship and an eighty-five academic average. FCA - Members must belong to the Christian faith. They must also be enrolled in a PE credit course or participate in athletics. Liber Socius - Membership is limited to 35 members. Members must retain a high academic and citizenship average. First consideration will be given to upperclassmen. Science Club - Members must be enrolled in a science class or have had one year of science. A B academic average, an A citizenship average, and passing grades in all required subjects is also necessary. Speech and Drama - Interested candidates must be sponsored by a member in good standing or be active in the Speech and Drama program. Student Council- A boy and a girl are elected for membership from each class. Each representative must have a B average. Quill and Scroll- This membership is based on at least one year in journalism class. One hundred hours in outside projects or Photolab experience is necessary. Journalism!Publication - Staff members must join the journalism class. First consideration will be given to junior and senior students but talented underclassmen will be considered when positions are available. Band Line, Twirlers and Drum Majors - All are required to be band members for at least one year. Flag Corps is open, but members must attend band class. An A average, and summer camps are required. FFA - Students enrolled in vocational agriculture may join FFA. Grace Boys - Ten young men from the sophomore class will be selected each year to receive a gift calf from the W.E. Bill Grace foundation. FHA - New members must be enrolled in homemaking or have completed one year. Upperclassmen may continue their membership by paying annual dues. FHA Hero - The five members of the HECE class are enrolled as members of FHA Hero which is a branch of FHA. Cheerleader- Eligibility fortryouts is based upon an HA average in citizenship and passing grades in three academic subjects. Once cheerleaders are chosen, the sponsor will require written proof of continued eligibility to perform at sports activities throughout the year. Drill Team - Membership in the Royelles is based on tryouts before qualified judges with the same requirements as cheerleaders.
