This year's J.V. was a very young team. The squad consisted of 26 playersg 14 freshmen and 12 sophomores. In their first game the Cats were defeated by the Italy Gladiators 24-O, but came on strong in the second game beating Lorena in a close fought battle 16-14. The Cats then faced China Springs who downed Whitney 35-0. The following week the Wildcats faced the Alvarado Indians who would prove to be the Cat's toughest challenge. Thelndian's overtookthewildcats 46-0. Entering district play with a 1-2 record, the Junior Varsity squad kept giving it their all. They finished the season with a 2-8 record. It may not have been a championship year for the J.V., but it certainly was a learning experience for the team and an enjoyable experienceforthespectatorswhoadmiredthesquad's integrity.
