He helps manage the high school football teams. He travels with and is an important part of the managing staff, says Athletic Director Larry Nabors. Dale is always quick with praise and support no matter how the game is going. He has very good recall of the games and has not missed one in two years. He came to Whitney from Lubbock where he went to school. He has lived here since 1970. He helps his Dad around the nursery and farm, and he owns some cattle of his own. His other interests include hunting and fishing. Ingram Supports Wildcats Team Dale Remains Most Loyal Fan No matter what the weather, Dale Ingram faithfully supports his team. For the second straight year, the Wildcats won the district 16AA title. The Cats started the year with a close 3-0 win over ltaly and beat a tough Lorena team 7-0 the next week. For the third straight week, the Wildcats' defense held their opponents to zero total points when the Wildcats defeated China Spring 35-0, ending a seven-year jinx. The Cats' toughest challenge came from the strong Alvarado team. The Wildcats lost in a close 8-14 battle. The following week, theteam suffered their second loss ofthe year to Hubbard with a score of 14-27. Entering district play with a 3-2 record, the Wildcats defeated Glen Rose 21-8 in front of a large Homecoming crowd. The Wildcats destroyed arch rival Clifton 33-0 the next week. The Cats were out for revenge against Itasca but came up with a 7-7 tie. The Wildcats had a 2-0-1 district record going up against undefeated Blooming Grove. The game was expected to be close but the Cats won 54-8. In the final district game the Wildcats defeated Grandview 29-7. Going into Bi-District with a 7-2-1 record, the Wildcats won in a tough defensive battle by beating Crandall 7-0. Advancing to Area for the second year in a row, the Cats played a strong Frisco team and suffered a 22-3 heart-breaking defeat. Frisco scored 20 points in the final four minutes of the game, ending the Wildcats' football season with a 8-3-1 record. Shane Hooten leads the Cats to a victory over Clifton. ,..,.f 64 V , . ...
