The underclassmen work to attain more speed and skill. The reserve track team ' s record of 1-2 resulted from defeats at the hands of Sylvania and St. John ' s. St. John ' s edged Whitmer by one point. The reserves revenged their loss to Sylvania by beating the Wildcats in the final meet. The freshman team worked hard to finish with a record of 6 and 0. Coaches Duck and Souliere helped the team develop its power in nightly practices. Among the 52 freshmenon the team the starting sprinters were Keith Mc- Watters, Tom Ruwe, Terry Knight, and Bruce Harsha, who also pole vaulted. The hurdlers were Joe Sedlock and Bill Kramer. Roy Tibbits took care of the shot put and discus, while the distance runners were Dave Angel and Dave Proeschel . Building their skills for the future, the Jefferson team won two of their three dual meets, and placed second in the Jefferson Invitational. Dave Hardy speeds up to give Bryan Benner the baton and keep the relay going. Scott Majoros has one thought in mind, a vic- tor ' for his team .
