ADMINISTRATION tual. 1 Xp If Louis P, Perullo Superintendent Dear Members of the Class of 1986: Congratulations upon your graduation from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Now that your high school years are finally over, I am sure that you will agree that they went too fast. High school really was not so bad after all. These were years of tremendous growth for you, not only physically and academically, but socially as well. You are very much adults today, able, and hopefully ready and willing, to seek your personal destiny in the years ahead. Life is full of opportunities for you to achieve success and happiness. Take full advantage of the opportunities that come your way. Do not be afraid to take risks. So many people lead lives of quiet desperation CHenry David Thoreauj because they fear changeg they fear the future. This is the best time of your life and it will get better if you face the future with confidence, a willingness to work hard, a predisposition to be positive, and, most importantly, a desire to give happiness to those you love and kindness to all people you meet along the way. We, at Whitman-Hanson, have worked diligently to provide you the best educational opportunities available. It is always our prayer that what we have given you will be enough to get you off to a good start. We think you are ready for the future Class of 1986. Go to it. Seek and give happiness. Seek and give love. Seek and give respect. If you achieve these goals, you have made the world a better place for us all. God Bless You. Our best wishes are with you and you will always hold a special place in our memories. Sincerely, , , cj , V' CQ,.x,A.a,k, Q4-Off? Louis P. CLASS OF 1986 RET ROSPECT WHITMAN-HANSON REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL When our memories grow dim, When we all become senile and old, What will unlock that treasure chest TABLE GF ofthe memories we hold? CONTENTS Will we be able to reach to the past, To grasp the years gone by? Perhaps with a little help we could do it if we try. But what could start our memories, What could be our key? ' ' ' Maybe a photo of our friends . could open our eyes and make us see, because there is no better way to remember, ...... than to bring the past up to now, and a simple little picture . can begin to show us how. DEDICATIGN CINDY Our school years have ended. It just doesn't seem real. As we think back over the years, Your absence is what we feel. The years have passed quickly, It's still hard to believe you're gone, Although we remember you everyday And your memory still lives on. The years will continue to pass. The distance will continue to grow. Friendships will slowly be forgotten, But we will always remember you, I k The happiness you gave us. The good times and the bad. The worst part was when you left. We were alone to face times so sad. We have all managed to go on, Continued on our way. We all miss you greatly, But we think of your everyday. Nancy Paine HOW

MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL Each year, one of the hardest tasks I face as Principal is saying goodbye to the graduating class. The Class of 1986 has particular meaning for me because it is the first group of ninth graders I welcomed to Whitman- Hanson as Principal. I like to think we have all changed significantly since that day in Septem- ber of 1982. The fourteen year olds who arrived as strangers have become friends, learned a great deal CI hopej and grown to be eighteen year olds. Like the twenty-four classes that have gone before you, members of the class of 1986 have earned many awards- academic, sports, and extracurricular. The teachers and administration have enjoyed working with you and feel a genuine sense of loss as you leave. As you begin the next phase of your life, we fervently hope that you make the most of all of life's opportunities. Continue to build on the skills you developed at Whitman-Hanson. Remember that today's hard work helps ensure tomorrows success. On behalf of the faculty, I wish you good luck and Godspeed. Farewell Mid? Geralde S. Buckley Principal 1,1 ln- Geralde S.
