PRINCIPAL 8: STAFF M ,fflhrwilkr Mrs. Geralde Buckley Principal A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL In September of 1979 we welcomed over 300 nervous, shy, jittery freshmen. From a group of Whitman students and a group of Hanson students you have grown and matured to become the Whitman-Hanson Class of 1983 - 318 young adults who have successfully met the requirements to earn the designation graduate',. Your experience here in the classroom with friends and teachers, on the playing fields and in school activities-are the foundation on which your future rests. Some of you have studied diligently, some of you have not. Some of you were participators, and some of you were not. Some of you were trusted friends, and some of you were not. Some of you have maximized your talents and abilities, some of you have not. Hopefully your positive experiences far outweighed those that were not. As time and distance separate you from Whitman-Hanson, you will come to realize the significant influence these 4 years have had in your development as a person. On behalf of all the faculty, I extend to you our best wishes and our hope for every success. Sincerely, Geralde S. Buckley Mrs. Deehan Secretary 5',1jjI'1v??',a4. 428: , J ' , , W f MIS. I, Mrs. Haas Secretary I -I ,- .ffi I Dear Members of the Class of 1983: I offer you my personal congratulations upon your graduation from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. I am sure that there were many times during your days at the high school when you felt that graduation day and freedom would never arrive. I am also sure that there will be many times throughout your life that you will genuinely wish that you could relive your high school days again. l hope that when you do look back to your high school years, you will not only remember the good times but also understand and appreciate the contribution of your parents and teachers in helping you to become all that you are today. During your years at this school you have been taught many lessons. Some, hopefully most, you have learned well. One lesson that I hope you will always remember is: Never forget your roots your family, your community, your school. They will always be there - especially during the bad times. Wherever life takes you, near or far, this is home, and beginning of the journey. May your goals and hope be realized and, in the years to come, may you bring honor to yourself, your family, your community, and your school. I wish for you a life of continuous learning, accomplishment, fulfillment and, most important, contentment and self-respect for all the days of your life. Sincerely, Louis P. Perullo Superintendent .
