The Cast and Crew Club started out their year with a money raising event. Members set up a make-up booth to paint clown faces on children at the South Whitley Bed Race Festival and raised over $100. Throughout the year they put on two plays: ''Blithe Spirit!' and ''Fiddler on the Roof''. Several members also participated ina skit, ''A Model Life'', at the variety show. In the spring members were honored at an awards banquet held at Don Pedro's in Fort Wayne. The following awards, voted on by Cast and Crew members, were given: Best Actor — Ed Gebert Best Actress — Jan Rager Supporting Actor — Dave Yarnelle Supporting Actress — Julia Shepherd Technical Award — Verlin Craig and Deb Clupper Outstanding Thespians — Dave Yarnelle, Jan Rager and Julia Shepherd Whitko Speech Team participated in eight meets this year with three members Ean with high honors. Ed Gebert and Carol Knarr placed fifth in the Sectional with their duo, a scene from ''The Good Doctor''. Dave Yarnelle placed first in poetry and oratorical interpretation at both the Sectional and the Regional. At the State Finals he received second in poetry and eighth in oratorical interpretation. Two awards were given: Most Improved — Carol Knarr Most Outstanding — Dave Yarnelle 21
