Some of the activities were a tractor pull, many judging contests, selling garden seeds, FFA banquet. 1. Whitko's Future Farmers of America. Mr. Bill McVay and Mr. Mike Gordon coached many teams to victory this year. FFA president, Sam Moffitt; Vice President, Brad Coble; FFA Chapter Sweetheart, Jan Wilkinson. 2. In March the team of Andy McVay and Jim Bryant won the WKJG TV Quiz show. 3. Whitko's Office Education Association advised by Mrs. Becky Boyer meets every day for three hours to learn office procedures. 5. Deb Swick, senior, was chosen by her fellow SSS members as the Sunshine Girl of the Year. 3. Whitko Sunshine Members and Mrs. Ray and Mrs. Boley. This year the Sunshine Society had many new activi- ties. Among these were: Thanksgiving basket collec- tion, chile-caroling supper, slumber party, Sunshine salad bar and induction ceremony and little brother and sister afternoon. Even with two snow days, the week of the queen col- lection for the children's hospital in Indianapolis was a success. The seniors collected $442.58 making Jan Wilkinson the new queen.
