ee ee ae Students and teachers alike faced many un- knowns at the beginning of the year. Two extra weeks of vacation for students helped them to face unknowns in the new Whitko High School building. Along with new bus schedules, lockers, subjects and teachers came the problem of getting acquainted with the building, as yet unfinished in some areas—shops, art department, home economics, gym and auditorium particularly. This meant some delayed classes and activities, with only seven weeks elapsing before the first report cards. However, finished work finally culminated in the March open house, and then on May 2lst the first graduating class, in Whitko High Schools’s own gymnasium. Laudice Miller, Susie Riordan, and Virginia Lahrman, dis- cuss what lies ahead for them in their first year at Whitko. ™ Doris Richard handing information to Carl Jenkins first day.
