PROPHECY The year is 1975, ihe president is Jane Churchill, first woman president. Many changes have taken place in the 15 years since she graduated from high school, due to the efforts of her former classmates. The Peabody brothers, Larry and Bill, have just returned from a flight to Mars in a jet designed by Cal Pritchard, Marv Phelps, and Larry Broadbent. This is the first known trip to Mars, but many have gone to the Moon. Jerome Buckanaga is painting a close-up of it now. Helping him mix his paints are Alberta Jones, LeRoy Saarinen, Judy Benson, and Shirley Benham. Martha McClelland, while exploring the other side of the moon discovered Jim Sanford setting up the second addition to his famous Moon-Green-Cheese Plant. Tom Cheney is Mr. Sanford's chief electrical engineer and Gerald Willen- bring is the engineer responsible for the roads to the plant. On the Moon there is a tremendous school system. Among the faculty we find Nancy Peterson, Terri Gould and Mary Ann Fix teaching grade school. Ardis Fieldman teaching Phy. Ed., Keith Jump chemistry and physics. Pat Nor- man is head of the music department, the Health Department is headed by Doctors Ted Allen and Leo Zaczkowski. school nurses are LaVonne Leismeister and Darlene Eastman, Lorna Wefers, Sandra Michels, and Carol Boldt is medical technician for the school infirmary. Planes have taken the place of school buses and piloting them are Larry Avenson, Don Callen. and Chuck Becker. The religious school sessions are directed by Naidine Sanford. Larry Monico is hcaci of the Trans-Universe Air Lines, owned by the Millionaires Club. Members of this club are Ken Walde, Don James, Gene Solinger, Jerry Steele, Loren Radke, Jim Ericson, Alan Hoppes, Doug Leicht, and Lewey Deitchler. The head plane mechanics are Philip Hoefs and Tom Resch. There are 29 flights daily from the Moon to the earth. Some of the frequent passengers are Pete Wilson and Marge Driscoll--famed travelers; Jerry Grover, Universal Tennis Champ, and his private secretary, Carol Rooney; Byron Knapp--executive and a few of his many secretaries. Kathy Tomte. Elaine Burlingame, and Bette Klicker; also the famous guitar player--Evelyn Harvala. Today there is a special sight-seeing flight. The stewardesses Dorothy Rutherford and Dorothy Schneider are amazed to sec Sharon Tesch, Karen Chat field, Lillian Edelman, Priscilla Moon, Kathy Frazee, Bev Randolph. Mareen Pike, Bob Harding, Frank Annette, and Rog Henderson aboard. Jerry Holmer has started a Naval Base on the Moon with the help of Dale Sackett. Following their example, Major Donna Theien is advising the construction of a women’s dormitory for the girls in the W.A.F. who will be stationed near the Naval Base. The dormitory is being built by Jim Pachel's Construction Co. Some of his carpen- ters are Herb Beimdick. Wayne Force, and Earl Ohlgren. having finally finished their struggle through college. Also helping are Dave Gottsman and Henry Buerkley. Ed Becker is in charge of installing and maintaining the radios and TVs. There is a great rivalry between the Earthly Beauty Shop, owned and operated by Pat Mattson, Sharon Rezac and Janet Dissmore and the Moon Salon owned by Kathy Thomas and Ethel Nyland and operated by Karol Harsha and Diane Stephens. Back on Earth we find that Margaret Basswood swims the English Channel every monring before breakfast, with Christina and Rebecca Rock watching. Dale Rogers, famous Iowan farmer, has just returned from touring Russia. Wayne Shores is still warming benches for the Dodgers. Bonnie Kriens has met many beatniks. Darla McMillen, Sandy Saddoris, and Gloria Sitz are still hunting for certain men. Bob Waterman chauffeurs Loren Smiens around in Bob's new Corvette, since Loren has lost his license again. Jim Roland is a great sports car driver and is driving today. Among the audience at the race we see Germund Nilson, veterinarian, sister Jane, who now has nothing to do with Air Force men, Margaret Nunn and Sandra Hummel. The working girls from Minneapolis. Marilyn Nelson. Marilyn Johnson. Marie Taskey, and Delores Hagen are there also. We see Dennis Jacabson. former college football star, now a coach and Dick Jackson, who has just returned from France where he saw Brigit Bardot. Dianne Gottsman. now taller than her brother, and Carol Noble are outside debating whether or not to enter. Denise Warner can be found in Las Vegas spending her fifth husband’s fortune. Nancy Forsythe is on her second honeymoon. Shirley Toops is in Florida warming up from the North Woods honeymoon she and her English-teaching husband have taken. All in all, the '60 grads of PRHS have succeeded in many ways and will continue to do so. 26
