SPANISH CLUB Practicing Spanish and acqu- ainting members of the club with the customs, music, and life of the Spanish-speaking people are the aims of the WHS Spanish Club. Dances, school assemblies, and parties are among the many ac- tivities planned by the members. The Chili Bowl basketball game is one of the highlights of the year for the members of the club. Los Burros, the first year students play Los Toros, the se- cond year students. In Latin they are ALTOIRA PETIMUS. To better understand the prac- tical and cultural value of Latin is the purpose on which the club was founded. Miss Elizabeth Matson, sponsor of the group, helps make the meetings more interesting by including short skits of important incidents in the Roman era. In the club are two groups.
