Bancl and Orchestra Lend Musical I ouch Highlights of the musical year was the District Music Contest, which was held at Whiting. The Orchestra, Girls’ Chorus, Boys’ Glee Club, and Mixed Chorus were awarded 1st row: June Westerfield, Gil Ciesar, Alberta Hayes, Virginia Gyure, Joan Coler, Joyce Molle. 2nd row: Bruce Webster, Kathleen Smith, Henrietta Boswell, Janet Comstock, Pat Banik, Kenlyn Card, Rosemary Perunko, Jean Stefak, Elaine Taray, Ken Rtffer. 3rd row: Richard Schultz, Thelma Dollins, Joyce Whitesell, Ginger Johnson, Barbara Wolf, Bruce Wargo, Richard Riffer, Richard Turner, Carl Kristoff. first place and went to North Manchester for the state contest. The Orchestra received first place honors in Indiana.
