Now that their school days are over the seniors of 1941 turn their eyes to the future. But in the memories of these former book learners will linger , a fond or otherwise remembrance of the many hours spent in the halls of learning trying to secure an education in the easiest possible way. For example, how can one forget the hard work and intense concentration it took the average student to dodge daily assignments and to miss tests, only to be rewarded by fatal symbols of various degrees and colors issued on a small yellow card the first Tuesday after the first Monday of every quarter. This was, perhaps, the most tragic side of school life except book reports, and the fact that it was necessary to awake from a deep slumber by 8:23 in order to arrive at school before the tardy bell rang at 8:30.
