LITERARY STAFF Shhh was the sound most common at yearbook meetings. The most popular phrase was, We're behind schedule! Nevertheless, all the work was enjoyable and en- lightening. The trials and anxieties of putting together the yearbook wore many tempers thin, constantly frus- trated our exalted Editor, and confused the study hall proctors. .Tim Lewin, our Editor, has led us through the year shouting, laughing, and typing. From the very beginning Don Jenks, yearbook photographer, went to work taking pictures in volume. Don's success and the excellence of Mr. Derrickson's contributions are evident in the quality of the photographs in this yearbook. Cindy Powers, Pam Moulton, Rusty Carlson. and Angela Gaz- , , V zoli rode their rulers, pencils, and layout mats from David Will, Jeff Dickler, Joan Glassman. LIBRARIANS FRONT ROW: T. Brauner, M. K. West, L. Nemec, P. Moulton, Mrs. Gaiennie. SECOND ROW: D. Will, C. Podmaniczky, S. Vosburgh, L. Roos. A new arrangement of shelving the books was introduced in the school library this year and has been carried on by Mr. Gaiennie. Each student was assigned one or two tiers for the school year by Mr. Derrickson and was res- ponsible for keeping them in order by checking them daily. The improvements made last year in the library, including the in- stallation of the carpeting have proved effective this year. The addition of many new books to our library has improved the wide selection of books available to the student body. We are grateful to Mr. Derrickson, who has continued his policies of contributing books to the library from those he reviews from the ST. LOUIS GLOBE-DEMOCRAT and of printing library information sheets for distribution among the students.
