EIGHTH GRADE WV FIRST ROW: B. Katz, P. Hunter, N. Mills, N. Katz, D. Nemec, P. Rounce. SECOND ROW: L. Roos, C. Pettus, J. Ford, M. Kratz, T. Delf, E. Benoist, I. Collins, B. Harlan, G. Steiner. ABSENT: R. Wilson Whitfield's eighth grade welcomed five new members to the class this year. The class began the school year with Jim Ford, presidentg Elliot Benoist, vice-presidentg Nancy Katz, secretaryg Mike Kratz, treasurerg Jim Collins, Social Council representativeg and Geoffrey Steiner, Student Council representative. Few failed to hear of the eighth grade and its many deeds. Our class entered upon a program in which the future of each member was enriched in several fields. For one, the class took a field trip to the St. Louis Plan- etarium to seek a greater knowledge of astronomy. Bake sales contributed to a universal understanding of the value of a dollar. However, we believe that the eighth grade's main contribution was the great attempt to enlighten the entire lower school on the campaign issues of the l964 election year.
