Mr. Heffernan Under new leadership this year, the F. F. A. accomplished many things. Mr. Heffernan, the new ad- visor, headed the boys in collecting material for the Homecoming' bonfire, a speaking' contest, a trip to Kansas City to attend the National F. F. A. Convention, the annual parent-son banquet, and other activ- ities as well as the numerous home projects. By far the greatest accomplishment was to have a GIRL in ag.5. class, which happened during the second semester when Deanna Barth, a transfer student, joined the class. Page Twenty-Nine

The float entered in the homecoming parade won second place. Their Christ mas project was to take a fruit basket to the Vannoy nursing home. This was followed bx caroling and a party at school. T'hey also presented Little Red Riding Hood at a pep meeting, Three Bears for the Senior Carnival, and sponsored for themselves an eight-course French dinner.
