Rabenhorst, R, Foote The Girls' Athletic Association started the year under the leadership of Miss Ebert and with the follow- ing officers: president, Ruth Phelpsg vice president, Judi Stultzg secretary, Martha Stevenson, treasurer, Carol Schultz, and reporter, Mary Liz Trewyn. The G.A.A. sponsored the annual Homecoming dance on October 15. The theme for the dance was After the Ball is Over. The walls were decorated in gay football pictures and behind the throne was rl large red pennant with white lettering spelling out VUHIPPETS. The theme chosen was China Town. The girls have participated in volleyball, basket- ball, and some softball. They meet every Monday and Xxfednesday, depending on the number of girls parti- cipating in the particular sport. Sport-heads were ap- pointed as follows: Volleyball, Pat Socwellg Basket- ball, Sherry Nelson, Baseball, Rose Marie Charles. To close the year there was a banquet in May where the officers for the following year were kill- nounced.
