Lynn Kiernan Alf1'f.1'61' Mrs. Stephen Ambrose The Future Nurses' Club is an organization for girls interested in nurses training and the nursing profession. Meetings were held every third Wecltiestlay of each mont?: with programs being presented at each, ln May the club sponsored a mixer, a project designed to earn money. This was the only money-making project of the year. Mrs. Dean -Ieffers of Lake Geneva spoke on the life of a student nurse in October. An explanation of the hospital staff and expenses at the Fort Atkinson hospital was gliven by Miss Goebel at the january meeting. ln March Dr. Ambrose talked on the role of nurses in hospitals. The annual field trip to a hospital was taken in December when the club visitetl Madison General Hospital. Susan Bigelow, one of the members, carried on a correspondence with the three alumnae of the club who entered nurses training this year. Many interesting and help- ful facts were learned by the club members through these letters. The girls appreciate greatly the help given by their adviser, Mrs. Ambrose. and feel that much of the credit for the expanding interest in this group belongs to her. Page Twenty-Two

Eloise Wendell Any member of the student body who is enrolled in a business subject may be Ll member of F.B.L.A. This year's membership totaled sixty-three. Two trips were made by representatives of the local group to other schools. ,On December ll a few students went to a state convention at Beaver Dam and in April ri lcw students of F.B.L.A. went to Waukeslia for a spelling contest. Some projects which City Highs F.B.L.A. have sponsored are: a dance, a student directory, candy sales, and the savings bank contest. Page Twenty-One

When school started, a party was given for the new members. At the Homecoming parade, the float which the F. H. A. entered with the theme 'Geneva's All Laid Out received third place. On November 9, F. H. A. girls had a leadership training conference in which dif- ferent schools took part. A Christmas party was held in December. Christmas gifts were exchanged. A candy sale, bake sale, and a mixer were sponsored during the year. Page Twenty-Three
