Cailloreto The City High I,ine got off to a fine start in September under the capable direction of Mr. Kendall Finger. The first order of business was to sell subscriptions for the year at fifty cents. Individual copies were sold at ten cents apiece when the paper came out at noon on the last Friday of each month. A mixer and .1 candy sale were sponsored during the year to raise money for a banquet for those who had worltel so hard to make the year a success. The alxanced typing students typed the stencils each month and the pages were run off by the sraff members. Our Town , a three act drama by Thornton Wiltler, was presented under Miss Markings direction by the senior class on Friday, November l9, l954, n the City High School auditorium. The play told the story of everyday life in which the leading character, a girl, grows up and diesi After death she comes back to earth and then realizes how precious every moment in life really is. Eloise Wendell Any member of the student body who is enrolled in a business subject may be Ll member of F.B.L.A. This year's membership totaled sixty-three. Two trips were made by representatives of the local group to other schools. ,On December ll a few students went to a state convention at Beaver Dam and in April ri lcw students of F.B.L.A. went to Waukeslia for a spelling contest. Some projects which City Highs F.B.L.A. have sponsored are: a dance, a student directory, candy sales, and the savings bank contest. Page Twenty-One
