To us this person has been a teacher, an advisor and above all a friend. As our teacher in Junior High he conveyed to us English lessons that we thought were unimportant then, but now we realize how significant they were. Still it wasn't so much what he taught us but how he taught us. He approached every class with his special sense of humor that intrigued us and kept our attention. As our advisor he wanted only the best for our class. He spent endless hours organizing and working at fundraisers so we could go on our Senior trip. In every event he gave it his all and made it more pleasant for the rest of us. Lastly as a friend he has been just that; one we all respect and look up to. It's not often you find a teacher who can also be one of your best friends. For all these reasons and many more, the class of 1986 would like to thank him, wish him all the best, and dedicate this years Vycenian to Mr. Douglas VanSkiver. APPRECIATION We the Class of 1986 would like to show our appreciation to a very special group of people . . . OUR PARENTS. You have always been with us, from our first day of school to our last. We will always remember how you stood by us, giving us love, support and guidance we so desperately needed. This was not just through the good times but through the bad times too. It is because of this that we would like you to know that even though we haven't always shown it, or told you, we love you and will do so forever. For without you and your love we would not have made it as far as we have. 2 • Dedication Appreciation SUPERINTENDENT Francis R. Evans VICE PRINCIPALS Charles E.
