DEDICATION Every yearbook has a dedication-but not every school has a teacher like Mrs. Sara Squier. We feel that Whiteville Cen- tral School is really lucky to have a teach- er like her, because she has been a music teacher, advisor, and friend—all combined into one. Mrs. Squier graduated from Indiana State College in 1945. She attended sum- mer school at the University of Michigan. Recently, she has taken graduate courses in guidance at Alfred University. Mrs. Squier taught music at Northern Potter School for nine years and has been our music instructor since 1962. Effective the first of February this year, she also as- sumed the position of guidance counselor here. The Senior Class is deeply indebted to Mrs. Squier, for she has served as our class advisor for the past four years. And so, Mrs. Squier, it is with deep apprecia- tion and great pleasure that we, the Class of 1969, dedicate this 1969 edition of the Wycenian to you. PHOTOGRAPHY BY THATCHER’S STUDIO, WELLSVILLE. N. WE APPRECIATE We, the Class of 1969, truly appreciate what all of our teachers have done for us. But, at this time, we would especially like to honor Mrs. Viola Mahoney, without whom this yearbook would be only a fantasy. Mrs. Mahoney graduated from Whitesville School in 1928 and Wellsville Training Class the following year. She has also attended summer school at the State University College at Geneseo and has taken extension work at Alfred University. Mrs. Mahoney taught in Rural School from 1929 to 1932 and third grade in our school from 1949 to 1951. She has also served as a substitute teacher. In 1963. she accepted the position as teacher’s assistant and has been with us since that time. While she has been with us, Mrs. Mahoney has been a “jill-of-all-trades.” She keeps the attendance records, serves as the cafeteria supervision, is the yearbook advisor, and teaches remedial reading. So, Mrs. Mahoney, the Class of 1969 appreciates all that you have done for W.C.S. Compliments of RICE’S MUSIC HOUSE.
