WE APPRECIATE We, the Class of 1969, truly appreciate what all of our teachers have done for us. But, at this time, we would especially like to honor Mrs. Viola Mahoney, without whom this yearbook would be only a fantasy. Mrs. Mahoney graduated from Whitesville School in 1928 and Wellsville Training Class the following year. She has also attended summer school at the State University College at Geneseo and has taken extension work at Alfred University. Mrs. Mahoney taught in Rural School from 1929 to 1932 and third grade in our school from 1949 to 1951. She has also served as a substitute teacher. In 1963. she accepted the position as teacher’s assistant and has been with us since that time. While she has been with us, Mrs. Mahoney has been a “jill-of-all-trades.” She keeps the attendance records, serves as the cafeteria supervision, is the yearbook advisor, and teaches remedial reading. So, Mrs. Mahoney, the Class of 1969 appreciates all that you have done for W.C.S. Compliments of RICE’S MUSIC HOUSE.
