DEDICATION FLORENCE CORNELL In 1929, Mrs. Cornell was gradu- ated from the Ceramics College of Alfred University. She began her career in Whitesville as a Music and Art teacher. After five years she went to Valley Stream, Long Island, where she taught for the next two years. She then re- turned to Whitesville, married, and has remained here since. Mrs. Cornell has been an art instructor for a total of 36 years and four months. In a variety of refresher courses, she has attended the colleges at Buffalo State, N. Y. U., Columbia and Syracuse and has taken extension courses at Chautauqua. She has traveled extensively and hopes to tour Europe next Fall after her retirement. Each pupil under Mrs. Cornell's direction has benefited from her insis- tence upon neatness and accuracy. All, regardless of artistic ability, have learn- ed practical skills which will continue to be a great asset. Her ready smile and friendly manner have brought her a host of friends among W.C.S. alumni. To express our appreciation, we, the Senior Class of 1967, dedicate this edition of the WYCENIAN to Mrs. Cor- nell. Thanks To: SHAY'S RED AND WHITE STORE

FOREWORD THE ANSWER What is Time, then? It is minutes and seasons and years. It is giggles and tears, Enjoyment and things we're afraid of. It's the stuff we are made of. Time is Christmas and measles. It’s birthdays, and marking the wall To show us how tall We've grown since the birthday before. It's what we remember and what is arriving or going. It's a wave which is flowing Past an invisible shore. Changing from minute to minute. It's a sea. And we're all swimming in it, Borne along, borne along Toward lands which we wait to explore. And though we can't touch it Or hear it (Or even come near it). We can save it or use it or measure it. And if we are wise, We will treasure it. With this thought we proudly present the 1967 WYCENLAN.
